Alana’s been in Herm for the last four days and it’s safe to say she did miss us but she’s definitely become quite attached the Chewie. Inky isn’t a fan of being carried around like a baby but this one loves to be escorted in your arms.

Another year, another successful and fun packed Christmas done and dusted. This is Alana’s 10th Christmas and although I don’t notice it too much, every now and then I see the little lady starting to appear from within.

For a change, Alana actually asked me to take a photo of her for her iPad. I can only assume it’s a profile picture for something (which I closely monitor like a hawk) but we went for something a little ‘sassy’ as she calls it!

Alana’s at that age where she’s starting to care more about her hair (most of the time). She also wanted to be like her BFF Grace. The secret to this one, wet plaits overnight, take it out in the morning and ‘voila’! Don’t even need to fight those knots, and I can’t deal with knots in long hair!

Super proud of Alana for gaining her 200 metres badge this morning. She handled all the strokes like a pro and these little steps really boost a child’s confidence in the water.
