This was a strategical and last minute rainbow hunt mission. In eight years you get a solid understanding of how the weather works and plan it right, you can get what you want. The thrill of the chase!

One of the reasons I started, to keep a digital album of my life and the kids. Also some memories to look back on when they’re older.
Happy Christmas :)

Safe to say both kids are buzzing for tomorrow. Finley’s been checking to Santa trackers every hour since we got up this morning!

The Market Square at Christmas.

There was no alcohol in sight today but you can always guarantee Ron will bring the laughs to the party.
He always forgets their names so the the kids call him Susan as little light hearted joke.

Happy Christmas from me, Danni and our little monsters. The excitement has well and truly kicked in and we’ve tracked Santa at least twice an hour since this morning!
20.12.21
First day of the Crimbo holidays. Nice early start on the ice rink. Alana stayed in bed and Finley loved it until near the end when the blade of my skate went over his hand. Brave lad held it together well and we later discussed how bad it could have gone if he’d lost a finger! Seemed to work, putting in into perspective.

This time, the lights were actually working in this area but just around the corner they were still out.

Market Square looking very festive. I had planned to take a few snaps up Mill Street but half the lights weren’t even turned on.

Another year, another successful and fun packed Christmas done and dusted. This is Alana’s 10th Christmas and although I don’t notice it too much, every now and then I see the little lady starting to appear from within.
22.12.20
The shortest day has passed but the nights are still long. It’s cold and wet but if you look around closely, there’s daffodils starting to appear. Spring will be here before you know it but for now, enjoy the cosy nights in front of the TV and Christmas with the people you love.
15.12.20
I’ve wanted an olive tree in the garden for years but can’t justify £1000 any time soon. The best I can do is admire the one at Oatlands which is decorated every Christmas.

AKA - Vale Church. Its all about knowing which buttons to press, or in this case, locating the electric cupboard and navigating through the 16 different light switches.
11.12.20
A festive looking Little Chapel with the added blue lights which I think really add life to the building at night. I’ve been informed there’s been complaints to do with religious beliefs and the colors of the church so FYI, they are only switched on between 16:00 and 20:00 during December.
09.12.20
The annual school nativity, with Finley doing an amazing job as one of the shepherds. Got to admire their little minds, so much to learn in such a small amount of time.

Some people have gone above and beyond with decorations this year. This is just up from Kings Mills but this giant reindeer is just the beginning. The house itself is something else.
