Found these little fluff balls wandering down the road towards Saints Bay. Hopefully the dense woodland around will protect them from the seagulls.

More and more ducklings appearing across the island which is always a pleasure to see. There were a few in Saumarez Park but I fear the gulls have had a few over the last few days.

After seeing Lucy’s pictures from down here at the weekend, I had to check it out myself. At first they were a long way off in the ad field opposite but a lovely lady came out with a bag of food and 10 ducklings came running over. We had a chat and she watched for cars as I laid down in the road to grab some shots. The sun even came out for a few minutes to give a nice warm glow.

Loads of ducklings in the pond at Saumarez Manor. The little fluff balls came within touching distance, obviously well cared for by us fellow humans.

Seems a bit late in the year for ducklings but there’s five of them living life on the edge at Petit Bot. I would imagine they are very well fed at the café!

Numerous visits over the last few days to photograph the ducklings and I finally settled on this shot. As the rain was passing over, the ducks took shelter under mum and after ten minutes they all started to emerge.

Spring is always a magical time of year and another essence is the ducklings. Expect a few more photographs in the coming weeks!
