FOG HORN

24.10.21

Fog & Signal Station at St Martins Point.

I came here yesterday but the sun was only visible through a tiny break on the horizon so I decided to return this morning with a bit more light in my favour. I had to shield the camera from the wind and wipe the filters after each shot which was a pain in the arse because all my cleaning cloths are now coated in salty water.

COLOURS OF DAWN

21.01.21

For a brief moment this morning, there was a small reminder of why I still do this every day! These sights have been rare in the last few months but I try to make sure I witness as many of them as possible and always aim to improve on the last. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it’s best to move on. Bordeaux is pretty much on my doorstep which is why I’ve spent so much time here over the years. Five minutes after this, the rain rolled in and that was it for the day. Back to the usual British weather.

NOVEMBER

01.11.19

The 5th day of non stop rain and it’s getting harder and harder to find inspiration. I don’t really want to push the weather sealing on the camera too much more!

However, the misty rain rolled in and there was only on place I could think of to make the best out of a pretty crap day. Think this is the third version this year, it’s just up a path from Saints Bay road. It reminds me of the creature form Stranger Things.

LE GOUFFRE

21.09.19

One of the advantages of this hobby is the amount of walking involved to get to the places I love. No one ever said it would be easy but these eyes have seen Guernsey in pretty much every way I had always imagined. Sun, rain, cloud, gales, snow, thunder, you name it, I’ve experienced it. I almost feel like I’ve completed an RPG game that’s taken 5 years to complete! The final boss is winter…
