I always venture up to this spot round this time of year but try to time it as close to low tide as possible to really emphasise the crystal clear waters and the extent of the sandy beach at Petit Bot.

Lots of bunting and flags starting to pop up ready for the Liberation Day celebrations next week!

Another trip down to Bluebell Woods. I think I’ve seen enough for this year.

I was told about some lambs up by the reservoir so I went to check them out. The lamb’s got a little E.T. look to it.

The Saumarez Park clan out in force again. I think I counted about 15 ducklings in total.

The time felt right to grab an ‘evening’ Bluebell Woods shot before they wilt away for another year.
Get down and check them out this weekend if you haven’t already.

I tried so hard not to drag the kids down this year but in the end I couldn’t resist and they agreed after I let them take some silly selfies with my phone.

Kid free afternoon walking around the Jerbourg headland. This is one of my favourite spots, looking down to Petit Port, Moulin Huet and Saints harbour. I was going to go down but after a recent landslide it’s closed off again.

The mist was a little bit thick to get down low but managed an abstract of the loophole and the radar station in the background.

High above Saints Harbour, next to no wind and a familiar warm wind which made it almost feel like summer, but not quite there yet.

The name came from a classic London Grammar remix that I was just thinking about but also applies to the mash up of presets and tonal adjustments to get a deep blue ‘bluebell’ head just about to burst open!

Another place with many fond childhood memories. It’s not quite the summer beach weather yet but it’s around the corner!

When you spend so much time doubting yourself and contemplating life, its easy to forget how a dramatic sunset can pick you back up. Good old L’Ancresse, a place that holds many happy memories!

From glorious sunshine for a whole week to a complete u-turn of icy cold arctic winds and wintry showers. This was a few minutes before the hail hit and it was painful. I’d forgotten how much it hurts being shot in the face with thousands of hail stones!
I also found loads of newborn lambs today so I’ll head back and grab some shots tomorrow.

Qute a few young calves along the main road just past Bordeaux. Only one pure Guernsey cow in the mix though!
