Bumped into a lady on the cliffs this morning who said she was waiting to be picked up by her son in law to watch the sun rise. Sure enough, they turned up to collect her but they missed the sunrise.

I always say it, because it’s true, but this has to be one of the best bays in Guernsey. No sand but very rarely more than a handful of people here at once and in the eight years I’ve been coming down here regularly, probably only seen about 10 people max!

The ‘almost but not quite’ sunrise I’d hoped for. Those damn clouds over France were holding everything back again.

I almost pulled the covers over my head this morning but me being me, got up anyway to check the sky and I could see it starting to pick up some colour 45 minutes earlier. A 5 mile drive later and a mad run down to Marble Bay I was greeted with this stunning sky. Sometimes a little extra effort goes a long way.
This is a good example of how the higher level clouds pick up the colour in the atmosphere.

A trek I’ve become very familiar with over the year, one that gets easier every time you walk it. The rewards on a calm summer morning are more than worth it. Probably spent just over an hour sat down here, occasionally checking the camera.

Surreal light as the hail shower passed over me this morning. I was prepared with waterproofs and an umbrella but being in the middle of it and being in the moment makes it all worth while.

Forget all the shit going on at the moment, this is the way I will remember Easter 2020! Full on sunshine for days.
