The view from half way down Clifton Steps. One of the unique things about town is the fact that almost every single roof and building is shaped in a different way. That is character!

The top of Valnord Road has a great view across the rooftops rising up Victoria Road. The early winter sun had just risen really emphasising the red brick and terracotta chimneys.

A sunrise this good needed a view to match it. Fiery view from the top of Arcade Steps.

This is the third morning in a row I’ve tried this shot, either the light was too harsh or too flat. My rule is, if your not happy with it after three attempts, move on and find another subject. Luckily there were small pockets of light which illumined the buildings in the distance and I was almost happy with it. HDR blend of three images.
