Another attempt at the harbour cranes. Didn’t have time to venture too far from home. Probably have at least 20+ different versions of this shot from over the years!

Felt proper stormy today but the end of the day brought a little colour to the sky.

Early Saturday morning along L’Ancresse coast road. Always a good place to be on a fine summers day!

Amazing sunrise this morning but other than squeeze it all into one frame, I felt the need to find a more intimate extract. I’ve walked this route home many times over the years and I do remember one time after a night out seeing this exact same scene. I felt a lot more human this time round!

Took the long way home to find a ‘classic Guernsey’ image. Bordeaux always has some interesting fishing boats and these beauties have had a fresh lick of paint and the flag was still flying proud from Liberation Day.

A picture perfect springtime elevated St Peter Port scene. Great to see all the leaves appearing as well.

Pointing the camera up in the air was a bit pointless today so I thought I’d focus on the details in the road.

The top of Valnord Road has a great view across the rooftops rising up Victoria Road. The early winter sun had just risen really emphasising the red brick and terracotta chimneys.

That thin orange strip on the horizon is a guaranteed amazing sky in the morning. See that, get out and make sure you are ready!

A last ditch attempt to get a photo this evening. There were some great opportunities today but unfortunately I just couldn’t be in the right place at the right time.

Always loved this quaint little cottage at the foot of Petit Bot. Seeing the smoke from the chimney just made it even more inviting on a murky day like today.

Rush hour on a Wednesday evening. The only difference, most were already at home! Normally backed up with hundred of cars, it felt like a ghost town tonight.

Not really sure what made me take a picture of this. Went for a blustery walk around Icart at lunch, nearly took off it was so windy! Keeping my head down to keep my face dryish, it seemed to catch my eye. Abstracty Guernsey roads, classic pine tree roots destroying the roads and the needles to add detail.
29.11.20
Terracotta chimney pots as far as the eye can see, lining the rooftops of almost every terraced house up Victoria Road.

The quiet and narrow country lanes to Icart.

I’ve been meaning to photograph this old vinery site for years but never found the right time to do it. Sheltered from the wind and crazy seas, this morning seemed like to opportune moment to give it a go.

When it rains for 90% of the day, it’s sometimes easier to just whip out the phone and just experiment without the restriction of lens selection and worrying about drying out the gear later.
