Long exposure can be extremely rewarding sometimes. With the right amount of cloud cover and wind speed you can create some streaky effects in the sky.

Mysterious oval stones leading up to Rousse Tower. Never found out what they are or were for, only that they made an interesting feature for an image. The only info I can find is some Bronze Age finds back in 1994. Maybe they’re dragons eggs, laid thousands of years ago! Godzilla?

It’s all about the weather. I literally plan my days around the weather. I would go as far as saying the weather is my religion. I’d probably study meteorology if i ever get the chance. Did I mention the weather?

I’ve been wanting to try this shot for years but for some reason never managed to round to it. Beautiful pink skies just before this but I had to resist the temptation.

Believe it or not, this morning was really pleasant. Hardly any wind and the sea was almost silent. The only real noise was the birds on the rocks and the distant humming of a fishing boat heading out for the day.

As the winter gloom settles in, my head was definitely up in the clouds today. Officially the unhappiest day of the year, it was only right the subject was blue.

Didn’t quite know how this morning would work out, there were beautiful pink high clouds towards France but they dissapeared pretty quickly. It wasn’t looking too promising until the sun burst through the clouds!

One those days where you just had to be outdoors to really appreciate how nice it was. Plenty of time to wander the vast exposed beach and watch the world go by.

Not only do I obsess about the weather, the tides play a big part in planning a shot. Rousse is one of those extremely flat beaches which covers very quickly so anything higher than a 2-2.5m tide makes these boats off limits for wide, close ups.
