It wasn’t the most vibrant and dramatic rainbow I’ve seen but it’s always satisfying to capture one.

Strangely warm for the end of October and early any wind. Lots of reflections to play with along the top of the beach.

A few quicks snaps of the stunning light rays on the way home this evening.

The last few rays of sunshine. The only good thing to come out of today.

Full on rainbow appeared as I was heading home and an opportunity I couldn’t miss. I was getting hammered with rain but it was coming from behind so I didn’t have to worry about rain spots.

The transition from summer to winter is finally here. We’ve been pretty lucky, nearly the whole of September with next to no rain, no storms, lots of sunshine and calm misty mornings. All good things must come to an end though!

Ten minutes of intense sunlight was the best we got today. Just had to wait for someone to walk into the scene to add some scale.

So nice to feel the warmth of the sun on my face for what feels like an eternity but once the sun dropped it the reality of winter crept in again.

It’s definitely a Guernsey themed year so our flag might as well have a spot in the gallery.

I didn’t expect too much from this evening and to honest I had a shot I liked from the fog this morning, but, the shadows from the groynes felt a little bit like a sun dial, tying in nicely with the equinox.

Pushing my luck with the waves on this one but the desired effect and lighting was achieved.

One upon a time, 10,000 years ago, Vazon used to be a forest. Over the winter months as the sand recedes, it’s remains become visible.
The view out the window behind my desk at work. The beauty of working near the west coast!

Spent most of my lunch break just sat here waiting in hope that a rainbow would appear as the rain drifted overhead. Unfortunately, this time it wasn’t meant to be.
27.11.19
Bit on the choppy side on the west coast this morning. Had to wait this out a while to avoid a proper soaking!

Never rule out a miserable rainy day! Behind what looked like a curtain of rain on the horizon was an explosion of amazing colours.
09.08.19
It’s actually been really warm today but as soon as the day was coming to a close, things felt a little autumnal.

This one needs little or no introduction. It was a rushed shot and little effort went in but that’s 1582 days ticked off the list!

My new drive home is via the west coast, loving the non stop and stress free cruise without the town traffic. Pulled over in Vista’s to catch the only bit of sun I’ve seen today with a kite surfer and walker thrown in.
