Another trip down to Bluebell Woods. I think I’ve seen enough for this year.

The time felt right to grab an ‘evening’ Bluebell Woods shot before they wilt away for another year.
Get down and check them out this weekend if you haven’t already.

I tried so hard not to drag the kids down this year but in the end I couldn’t resist and they agreed after I let them take some silly selfies with my phone.

One last trip to Bluebell Woods before they wilt away for another year. Seems like the wild garlic has taken over a huge area again, hopefully the bluebells can hang on to their rightful home.

After a long week, what better way to unwind than taking in the gorgeous evening light under the canopy of Bluebell Woods. Enjoy it while it last because it’ll be gone before you know it.

Whilst the middle of the woods is still looking bit thin, the edges seem to be taking a little quicker. Really disappointing to see so many trampled patches and new paths made though the middle. Seems like there’s still a selfish few who ruin it for everyone else.

Bluebell Woods, without the bluebells or the people.
20.04.20
Probably, maybe, the last of Bluebell Woods for 2020.
14.04.20
Late afternoon walk with the kids, needed them to get off their arses away from their games. I take my camera, they take the dog. Win win situation for all of us.

Little pockets of light filtering through the trees, illuminating the fresh bluebells. Easter is the perfect time to get down and visit, just don’t be a douche and trample the bluebells, really ruins it for everyone else.

With Easter just around the corner, it can only mean one thing! Still needs another week or two to reach it’s best.

My annual trip to photography this tree, tucked away in the wooland area half way down to Fermain Bay.
01.11.19
The 5th day of non stop rain and it’s getting harder and harder to find inspiration. I don’t really want to push the weather sealing on the camera too much more!
However, the misty rain rolled in and there was only on place I could think of to make the best out of a pretty crap day. Think this is the third version this year, it’s just up a path from Saints Bay road. It reminds me of the creature form Stranger Things.

Part 4 of Bluebell Woods through the seasons. Nothing much really happens here in the Summer. The canopy is so dense hardly any light gets through. As the air heated the moisure started to evaporate, intensifying the short burst of light through the trees. I had to wait an hour for the sun to come out this morning!
05.05.19
The time felt right to put myself in front of the camera for a change (something I actually hate doing). I’ve needed a profile picture for my website year nearly 5 years so here’s take 1. It’s actually really difficult to get a decent back-lit shot on your own!

Our annual Easter family portrait in the idyllic settings of Bluebell Woods. Happy Easter everyone!
16.04.19
The second installment, this time chasing the fading light from the very bottom of Bluebell Woods.

This years challenge is to find 5 different perspective of Bluebell Woods with 5 different focal lengths. This is ‘Almost Blubells’ taken around 6pm on the top path.
