Uninterrupted panoramic views over Petit Port, Moulin Huet and Saints Bay. Such an idyllic spot to stop and unwind, even if it is only for ten minutes!

Kid free afternoon walking around the Jerbourg headland. This is one of my favourite spots, looking down to Petit Port, Moulin Huet and Saints harbour. I was going to go down but after a recent landslide it’s closed off again.

Back to Petit Port, hoping for that once in a lifetime photo opportunity which didn’t happen. There were some stunning light rays a few mile out. Salvaged a few shot I liked.

Making the most of this mini heatwave while it lasts. Felt properly mediteranian up here. A little bit jealous of the lucky few down on the beach though, didn’t have time to head down today.

Because, the sun was out and when it shines in Guernsey, the beach is the best place to be.

As far as beaches go, this is the most rewarding of them all. 286 steps each way, but worth every minute once you're there. I only had ten minutes on the beach at lunch but I like to test out how far I can get in an hour.

80 metres up, the crystal clear waters of Petit Port looking stunning in the sunshine.

Could’t think of anywhere better to watch a massive rain cloud drifting in from the deep blue. The best thing, only two other people were down here in the wide expanse of nothing but golden sand.

Needed to clear my head after last nights antics. Where better to do it than this fantastic beach.
04.08.20
Took a leisurely walk around the Jerbourg headland and stopped for 15 minutes to just chill and enjoy the summer sun. This is the view down to Petit Port from probably the highest point above it.
24.07.20
Almost 30 minutes of standing in a whiteout hoping for the smallest clearing down to the beach and then as if someone turned on a switch, the clearing I waited for.
22.06.20
Pushing the limits of lunch hour travel destinations. Vazon to Jerbourg and down to Petit Port in under 20 minutes, enjoy the views for a short while then power through those killer steps and back to work in exactly 1 hour!
29.12.19
When the weather gives high cloud, be sure to get out and see it. Stunning beach, stunning sunset!
07.19.19
It’s been a while since I stretched my legs down here. Following the tide as it recedes with the perfect untouched golden sands.
24.07.19
If Guernsey did views! Oh wait, they do and they’re right on your doorstep. This was my second visit today because why not? This morning’s fog was just too dense but by midday the fog had lifted enough to get a decent view across to Icart.

Somewhere between Winter and Spring, the sun is shining but the rain keeps falling. The islands greatest beach was waiting to show it’s true colours.
27.01.19
With the high winds battering the North and West, I just couldn’t be bothered to battle the sea spray. So the south coast it was! The 100 metre high cliffs gave the perfect shelter.
09.12.18
I needed one last crack at Petit Port before the year is up. The sun sits so low for the last few hours of the day and with the scene changing by the minute, your’e spoiled for choices.
26.11.24
Pure bliss down on the south coast this afternoon. The only footprints were those made by the birds. Found my spot and just waited for the right moment. It really is all about the light!

The stunning rocky coastline of the south coast. Always worth the trip down the 280 steps, feels like you’ve earnt an image rather than just taking it.
