High above Saints Harbour, next to no wind and a familiar warm wind which made it almost feel like summer, but not quite there yet.

Now our office is based in the north of the island, I rarely get a change to venture to the south coast but today was so nice it just had to be done, even it was only for ten minutes!
Season - somewhere towards the edge of spring with a very feint hint of summer.

A walk on the wild and windy side of the island this afternoon.

Right up there with with one of my favourite spots to just sit on the cliffs and just stare out to sea. What made this stand out for me was the sunlight rolling over the beach and the cliffs face as the clouds drifted across.
Everything is looking so green, I love it!

Freshly trimmed winding paths heading back to Mont Herald on the south coast.

If I ever needed a reason as to why I keep this hobby up, this is one of them. Way out west looking out towards the setting sun and Les Hanois Lighthouse in the distance.

80 metres up, the crystal clear waters of Petit Port looking stunning in the sunshine.

Taking in the fantastic views the island has to offer. The air was so clear you could see distant details of the French coast. Setting a long exposure with no clouds is always hit and miss so I had to carefully balance the light and dark areas.

Before the luscious green comes the miles and miles of stunning Blackthorn flowers. If you haven’t been for a wonder around the cliffs recently, now really is the time to do it. It’s amazing to see so much white blossom.

Took the kids for a nice hike around the water lanes in St Martin, down to Moulin Huet and back up again. Finley came home with a pet rock who now lives outside our front door.

View from below the Prevote Watchtower out towards La Corbiere and beyond.
06.12.20
One of the most beautiful spots on the south coast, even better with some golden winter sun illuminating the cliff faces.

A little rock in the middle of the channel, a place I like to call home. Spring into summer, walking the cliffs at this time of year is truly a memorable experience. Get up high and admire the views. Wildflowers as far as the eye can see and tropical blue waters.

The end of Guernsey, 90 metres above sea level and a seemingly endless horizon. The next closest land mass is Paimpol in France nearly 50 miles away!

Everyone has their limits, mine can be pushed further than they should but when you have views like this, isolation isn’t too bad.

I’m off work this week but I swear every day feels like a Saturday at moment. Not a bad thing if your’e fortunate enough to still be employed.
With the sun shining I managed to get everyone down to the harbour at Le Gouffre and walk the long way back round the cliffs with very few complaints. Poor kids, it must feel like climbing Everest with their little legs.

The stunning south coast above Petit Bot. Go the extra ten minutes around the paths and you get some stunning views out to sea.
27.09.19
This is the weather I crave over the summer. Gale force winds, violent seas and that gorgeous autumn light sits lower in the sky lifting the golden ferns on the cliff face.
21.09.19
One of the advantages of this hobby is the amount of walking involved to get to the places I love. No one ever said it would be easy but these eyes have seen Guernsey in pretty much every way I had always imagined. Sun, rain, cloud, gales, snow, thunder, you name it, I’ve experienced it. I almost feel like I’ve completed an RPG game that’s taken 5 years to complete! The final boss is winter…

Rather than shoot the cliche scene, this is shot from on the Pea Stacks looking back up to the usual viewpoint. Its easy to get down with a fairly clear path but don’t go down in shorts!
