St Peter Port

DARKNESS FALLS

30.09.20

Final day of September and it was pretty wet. I try to save the night shots for the winter when daylight is limited but I had to pull out a wildcard this evening.

Taken from the half way up Constitution Steps overlooking the rooftops of Fountain Street and the Bordage.

URBAN LANDSCAPE

24.05.20

This is the third morning in a row I’ve tried this shot, either the light was too harsh or too flat. My rule is, if your not happy with it after three attempts, move on and find another subject. Luckily there were small pockets of light which illumined the buildings in the distance and I was almost happy with it. HDR blend of three images.

MANSELL STREET

09.12.19

The Old Quarter of St Peter Port looking very festive in December. I have to be honest, this part of town looks great, the rest, not so much. I’d be happy to throw in a tenner (along with a few thousand others) just to see something with a bit more of a wow factor next year! Freshen things up a bit. The same old, different year.

THE PAPER BOX

27.10.19

With the digital world and chain stores taking over our lives, little independent shops are disappearing fast. That said, this little paper shop has been around as far back as I can remember and has always been a a great convenient shop. Packet of Rizla and a drink, in and out in less than minute.
