And so it begins! It starts with the daffodils, then before you know it, everything is green and colourful once more. I’m more than ready this year.

For me, church is a place I admire the historic architecture and be at one with the sound of silence!

Turned out to be an stunning day once the clouds had buggered off. Feeling the warm sun only face felt good. Inspiration wise, January is a shitter to get through so anything goes and sometimes you’ve just got to accept that better things will come (hopefully).

Christmas is over but there’s still a festive vibe in the Town Church with their numerous trees on display.

It wasn’t until I uploaded these files I realised that the lights from the front the church grounds were casting a shadow into the sky. Feels a bit like Arkham City!

Town Church from Market Square on a chilly autumn night. For those that didn’t know, the church hold the record for the closest pub to a church in the British Isles!

There’s something about Rousse that draws me back throughout the year. I’ve had a vision for an image (other that the same old landscape shots I get sucked into) but never found the right focal length, position or light to get it right. Today, I found my vision.
It needed to be layered. Foreground, middle and background with features of the bays in each. I’m happy with this and I can finally let it go!

AKA - Vale Church. Its all about knowing which buttons to press, or in this case, locating the electric cupboard and navigating through the 16 different light switches.

A festive looking Little Chapel with the added blue lights which I think really add life to the building at night. I’ve been informed there’s been complaints to do with religious beliefs and the colors of the church so FYI, they are only switched on between 16:00 and 20:00 during December.

Out of the rain searching for random things inside St Matthews Church.

The last 5 days have been the toughest since I started this journey. It’s been one of those weeks with very little energy, mentally and physically, and nothing seems to go to plan.

Feeling a little uninspired this morning, I parked up and had a wonder lanes the roads off Victoria Road. Almost gave up but then saw this view down over town.

Once separated by the sea on a separate island, Vale Church can be seen from almost anywhere on the island with a good viewpoint.

Needed a bit of colour in my day so headed to St Saviours church to see what I could come up with. This is the church within the church!

I had set up at Le Guet, waiting for a rainbow to appear over Cobo. That quickly turned into a wet and windy disaster so headed for shelter in St Matthews Church. Played with a few light combo’s and settled for one single lamp over the organ.

And just like that, the first signs of spring appear!

Wonderful festive display in the Town Church. The kids loved it and it got us out the rain for a short while.
