The most common garden bird in the UK, but this one was playing around with it’s mates next to the beach. Just managed to sneak close enough to get a shot through a gap.

Wandering through the quiet lanes of St Saviour. This house has always caught my attention and feels like a classic ‘Guernsey House’.

A lone house nestled deep in the valley of Petit Bot. If we ever get a snow day again, this is where I’m heading first. This would look awesome with snow dusted trees and the road should be more visible. Watch this space!

Built in the late 1800’s, this used to house th families and keepers of Les Hanois Lighthouse. Now it’s three separate cottages. Every time I see this house I can’t help imagine what pain in the arse it must be to mow the front lawn!

A common theme you’ll no doubt see regular driving around Guernsey. The once thriving export industry is just left in ruins now. The good news is, some are being reused to grow medicinal cannabis!

I always struggle with ‘clear sky days’. Finding the right balance and subject is the biggest challenge. The good thing is, the days are drawing in and the autumn light is becoming more noticeable after work. I’ve also been experimenting with the new(ish) bundled LR presets which open your eyes to some more experimental, cinematic editing. They’re a good base to work from to create your own preset library.

Guernsey has some stunning homes, even more so towards the middle of May when all the Wisteria starts to bloom as it grows strategically around the doors and windows of the buildings.

Always loved this quaint little cottage at the foot of Petit Bot. Seeing the smoke from the chimney just made it even more inviting on a murky day like today.

The beautifully restored Catherine Best Mill in St Martin. I can only imagine how amazing the views are from inside the dome!

Some people hang out a flag or two, maybe even some bunting. Then, there’s some heros who redecorate their homes! Respect where it’s due, this is an amazing effort.

Bringing a little Mediterranean vibe to a peaceful lane in St Martin.

The remains of the Japanese house that once stood here. The house was dismantled in Japan and shipped to Guernsey on a steamboat in the late 1800’s.
