PIER STEPS

13.06.19

It’s not until you do some research do you realise how much history Guernsey actually has. During the middle ages, around 1100-1200, St Peter Port used to be a small settlement built on steep cliffs. Half way down these steps there’s a passageway which marked the eastern boundary of the medieval town which lead down to a beach. I would love to go back (fully vaccinated) to see what it was like.

Have a read here, its actually quite interesting!

Everywhere I walk or drive I see a photo opportunity these days. I mentally decide which focal length I want and what time of day would work then eventually return, sometimes three or four times before I’m happy with the result!
