Finally got my second baby back (The 5D MkIV) from Canon. Took her out to town to do a bit of sight seeing.
New mirror box and shutter, upgraded to the newer 2019 version! Happy days.

Blending in being a tourist in my own home. I think that’s how I’ve managed to get through 1680 days, seeing and doing things that makes Guernsey so unique, sometimes from an outsiders point of view.

It’s not until you do some research do you realise how much history Guernsey actually has. During the middle ages, around 1100-1200, St Peter Port used to be a small settlement built on steep cliffs. Half way down these steps there’s a passageway which marked the eastern boundary of the medieval town which lead down to a beach. I would love to go back (fully vaccinated) to see what it was like.

After yesterday’s adventures, today was like a slap in the face until it stopped raining on my way home. Saying that, shooting at night is great because the light doesn’t really change giving you more time to slow down.

Pretty wet and miserable day on the Rock. The advantage of rain is the clarity it gives the paving and foreground subjects. The down side is constantly cleaning the lens!
