Beach

VAZON

17.06.21

Ten minutes of intense sunlight was the best we got today. Just had to wait for someone to walk into the scene to add some scale.

THE STRAND

14.06.21

The house prices in Guernsey are unbelievably f**king stupid at the moment, it actually takes the piss. But (there’s always a but with me), when you concider the luxurious lifestyle we have and the views some properties offer, it kind of makes sense. The silhouette of the table and chairs caught my eye, while admiring a view that I’ll probably never afford!

PETIT PORT

08.06.21

As far as beaches go, this is the most rewarding of them all. 286 steps each way, but worth every minute once you're there. I only had ten minutes on the beach at lunch but I like to test out how far I can get in an hour.

PORTELET

01.06.21

First day of June and it was a scorcher! Spent my lunch roaming the coast around Rocquaine and Portelet, a little jealous of all the people enjoying the sea.

SECRET BEACHES

28.05.21

Not quite a secret as such but this beach is tucked away hidden from view next to Petit Bot and is only accessible by sea or an extremely dodgy rock scramble from the zig zag grassy path opposite. Even then, the latter is only possible at low tide.

CALM

01.05.21

Blissful, calm morning at Rousse. The low tide was pushing me back really quickly but I stood my ground until the tide was nearing the top of me boots. It’s so flat here you can quickly find yourself 3quite far out to sea without realising it.

THE RUSH

25.04.21

After weeks of stunning calm days, the gales nearly put me off heading out this evening. But, I always have one eye up in sky just in case there’s some cloud worth freezing my arse off for.

GRANDE HARVE

22.04.21

Many moons ago, this is where Guernsey was split into two separate islands. There’s still long stretches of the old sea wall visible heading inland along Vale Church and into the lanes. Ye Olde Guernsey, would have loved to go back few hundred years to see what it was like.

CHOUET

08.04.21

An area I often overlook with the camera, manly because the old landfill site is a few hundred metres away but it’s still an area that I love to walk and on a day like today, it felt quit special. The Thrift helped with a more natural frame.

CARIBBEAN BLUE

06.04.21

Snow in the morning, roasting on the cliffs by afternoon. I did start off with full winter gear but when you get going on the cliffs, the body pumps out some serious heat. The colour of the sea was amazing under the blue skies but the reality on the arctic wind made it short lived later on.

L'ANCRESSE

27.03.21

If I had to name one beach out of the 30 which holds the most memories, L’Ancresse would probably be it. A more abstract view from he carpark but it feels like somewhere thousands of miles away.
