AFTER THE RAIN

21.02.22

Sheltered from the wind with my car boot open, the 50mph winds swiftly carried the rain over the bay and out towards the channel. Unfortunately I was a few minutes too late to get some decent light.

HAVELET

30.01.22

I never used to give Havelet a second though as it just didn’t feel like a place I wanted to be but actually, it’s a quite a plant area. Vast sand bay with amazing views out into the channel and also a great place to watch the sun rise!

POWER STATION

25.01.22

Another struggle to find anything inspiring. Something of a landmark in the north, albeit an eyesore, the power station has been a vital part of the islands infrastructure for many years and will do for many more.

OVER THE HEDGE

12.01.22

We walked past these goats munching on the gorse over the weekend. I went back today to find the same one still munching his way up the road. I just can't understand how eating gorse can be appealing?

MOULIN HUET

09.01.22

Rain, rain and more rain. There’s a theme occuring this year! When there’s breaks in the cloud, I love the rain because that’s when the magic can happen. When it’s solid grey grey, that sucks.

There wasn't as much strong winter sun as I’d hoped although the shadows and highlights are much easier to control when it’s like this. I did nearly get cut off, five more minutes and I would of had to deal with some sketchy submerged rocks!

GUERNSEY MOODS

07.01.22

Standing my ground, I refuse to let the rain get in the way. This was just after sunrise this morning, armed with an umbrella and a cleaning cloth the rain hammered down over me. Everything just went in reverse and seemed to plunge into darkness.

SHEEPS

05.01.22

It may be a little on the cold side but being out in the sunshine, strolling through the rural lanes felt amazing. It may not mean much to anyone but this picture felt like a turning point. It made me remember why I started this photo marathon which was to capture Guernsey through the seasons in any way possible. No rules, no competition, just enjoying being out with the camera!
